I want .50 cal machine guns as a factory option.

Spent my one cancelled class surfing the net and wishing I still had my dad's credit card. I could've finally ordered those boxed sets of Metallica DVDs.

A bloke I knew before once showed me some Japanese cartoons with this completely random fantasy land that was called Metallicana. There was also someone who went by the name of Bon Jovina and could cast a spell named Guns'n'Ro. Yeah, I don't know what's up those Japanese people. Want to shed some light on that, Yoshida?

Then again, that bloke? Probably insane. Thought that us taking motorbikes to the moors and driving around in mud puddles was a great idea. It wasn't. I got a cold.

Come to think of it, it was a little over a year ago. Just before I ended up here.

Jono? Would you happen to have Apocalyptica's arrangements of Metallica anywhere? Either the music itself or a CD?

If I have to show off this stupid cello, I am at least doing it with proper music that isn't a hundred years old.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-14 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Much to, I am sure, everyone's surprise, I do actually like -some- music that isn't electronica.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
oooh...I wanna come see you play! I LOVE metallica!

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
...I love everything. bowie, pearl jam, def lep, mettallica, even a couple avril songs. but only a couple.

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
Good taste, kid. Well, you know, ignoring the Avril part.

[identity profile] x-marrow.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:42 am (UTC)(link)
Is that anything like ignoring that Evenescence CD that you had for a while?

[identity profile] x-marrow.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh Sparky, that hurts.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
don't act so surprised.

I don't like ALL her stuff. just "I'm with you" and "anything but ordinary"

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Two songs are enough from her.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
One of the signs of the world ending is -not-when we agree on music more than once in a week, right?

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
If it is, it was nice knowing you.

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)

why do you hate her? sure, she's all wannabe-punk but who isn't a wannabe who is just starting out in mainstream music? she at least plays her own instrument and writes her own music.

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Is she the one with the song with the bad english spelling in it about the skateboarding boy and the ballerina?

She does -so- not play her own instrument.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-blink.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't like that one.

she doesn't?

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, quite a few of both. When do you want them?

Want guitar accompaniment?

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
.. Um.

Oh, what the hell, do you want me to see if Doug can vocalize "Nothing Else Matters" properly?

I know that one, fairly well. I got away with playing it a few times before my instructor figured out it was the Evil Radio Music. I could probably handle the bass part.

this isn't supposed to be fun! when did this turn out to fun? I shouldnt' be looking forward to this!

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, do it.

The power of Metallica compels you.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
I only like -two- songs by them, Jono. Only two. There is no compulsion when it is only two songs.

Did I ever send you that cover of Fade To Black?

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:05 am (UTC)(link)
We'll soon get you converted.

No, you didn't, actually.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
I refuse conversion. First Metallica and then I would start listening to.. I don't know, that english fellow with the makeup and the bratty children on the television.

Fade to black cover is - here (http://www.baseeight.org/MP3/FadetoBlack.mp3)

Ozzy Osbourne? Well, he isn't good alone.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that who that is?

He is.. loud. Very -loud-. And his children are foul brats.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, if we're talking about the same person.

Rockstars are supposed to be loud and have bratty kids and drug problems. I'm waiting Alison to get to that.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Alison is evil and Miles can be loud sometimes. That counts, right?

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:02 am (UTC)(link)

My evil plan continues apace.

Re: ...

[identity profile] x-tarot.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
Fine. If I have to do this, you have to sing.

You. Butt. Pants. Singing. This afternoon. If there is no singing, there is no playing of the cello, and I will pout mercilessly at you.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2004-04-15 12:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I have nothing interesting to say to this entry but feel compelled to reply. Hm. Sorry about that.

(Although, the prospect of getting to see you play some more is certainly striking my interest...)

[identity profile] x-sparky.livejournal.com 2004-04-17 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I'll just admire your coherent writing then.
